Schmoelzl Variations are published

Delighted to see my Neue Schreibart series in collaboration with Les Productions d’OZ and University of Surrey grow over time. Here's the latest publication, a modern performance edition of a most brillant piece of music, the "Introduction und Variationen über einen Solo-Steyrer Jodler" by Carl Wilhelm Schmoelzl (1809-1845). It's based on a famous theme of Alpine folk music, which turns into a demanding virtuoso piece in the variations. Schmoelzl is relatively unknown to today's guitar scene, but a composer, that left us numerous works worth discovering.
