Classical Guitarist

It's a wrap!! Finished the last concert of what must have been one of the more intense tours of my lifetime. 6 gigs in 7 days between Sydney and Melbourne. I do want to say a big thank you to everyone that helped make this possible: Goethe Institut Australia, the German Consulate, 92.3 FM - 3ZZZ, SBS Radio, Uwe Jacobs, Christian Hohl, German Club Tivoli and especially Ivonne Gonzalez and Jonas Marx.

At the Neuöttinger Gitarrentage with bassoonist Rainer Seidel. I had a lot of fun playing the concert and teaching the masterclass!

"Brillant, young and extremely talented" is what the Passauer Neue Presse wrote in their concert review:

Playing a gorgeous Hauser I at the GSI in Los Angeles

A wonderul concert in front of a packed hall in Tholey.

I'm pleased to announce that I won the Doctoral College Studentship Award 2019 and will start a PhD at the International Guitar Research Centre of the University of Surrey.

Playing Trios by Giuliani, De Fossa and Paganini with Christian Sebastianutto and Ilario Fantone

A nice review of "The Italian Recital" in Classical Guitar Magazine:

There will be an article on the cd in the summer edition of the magazine.

highresaudio.com has awarded their 'Editors Choice' to my album 'The Italian Recital'. Highresaudio is one of the most important platforms for adiophile listeners. Really happy about it!!

A nice review of my album 'The Italian Recital' can be found in the latest issue of Akustik Gitarre Magazin, cheers:

"...these pieces require a true virtuoso. Daniel Marx masters this challenge with ease, doesn't overplay and is, even in tricky passages, far away from his technical limits. In consequence there is enough room to breathe and space for singing, the trademark of Italian music. To find a stilistically sophisticated interpretation however, is not that simple. But this is exactly what the young artist delivers..."
