Classical Guitarist

Last weekend after my performance at the American Guitar Society. Here is a picture of president Gregory Newton and myself. The American Guitar Society is the oldest active guitar society in the world, and presented  me as the first prize winner of their "Bickford competition".

From the 2nd to 16th of June, we will be holding the 1. Dorfener Gitarrenfestival. All of us are happy and excited about the event. Make sure to join us for concerts and masterclasses!

Incredible and unforgetable experience to record my first album for "GENUIN classics". Here are the two of us in front of the chapel St Gerold in Vorarlberg, where we recorded the past four days and where the legendary album "Officium" by saxophonist Jan Garbarek and the Hilliard Ensemble was made. Thanks to everyone who made this possible, it was quite an experience. It is such a privilege to make music, and to see some of my dreams come true!

Daniel is the winner of this years Bickford Competition held by the American Guitar Society. He led the field in the "open" category and receives a monetary prize alongside concerts for the AGS.

Daniel is named "Visiting Artist" of the 2017/18 season at the Max-Kade-Institute in Los Angeles and will run a concert series named after Franz Schubert. Here is the introductional paragraph:

The "Schubertiade" series is curated by this seasons Max Kade-Visiting Artist and Thornton-Scholarship winner Daniel Valentin Marx. Join in for an unique evening of music, conversation and "Pläsier" in the Austro-German fashion.
